The basic concept is to have the patch doubling i.e. doubling it by avoiding the bridGES.Without bridges it should not take much time.after the doubling trains from NBQ side can come uninterruptedly upto NOQ,from New baneshwar to NCB,NCB TO GUMANIHAT.Aftr that a small section of NQH-BYXA,THEN FROM JPE uninterruptedly onward.So trains from KNE side can come with ease upto JPE.So much problem will be solved.My hopes are on the NQH-MAYNAGURI ROAD JN-NEW CHANGRABNDHA-MATHABHANGA-NEW COOCHBEHAR-GOLAKGANJ-FAKIRAGRAM section of maynaguri-jogighopa rail link.That will help in by-passing the freights through that line.Some of the not so important trains,specials can be routed also.Then the pressure on NJP-JPE-NCB-SMTA will be reduced considerably.

As far as the reports say and according to the google map,I am saying about it.the NQH-MAYNAGURI JN part of y-link is more important than NMX-MAYNAGURI ROAD JN part.That will ensure speedy transit.The other part will ensure Ring rail,NJP to APDJ train via Lataguri,Different combinations will evolve.Freights can be routed though unlikely via lataguri.high scope for green tourism trains.

The NQH-MAYNAGURI ROAD JN-MATHABHANGA-NCB stretch of the Y-LINK is important .NMX-ROAD JN is just the byepass and can serve RING RAIL DEMUs.NCB-NEW CHANGRABANDHA-NMX-NCB. ring rail DEMU can be run.Till the approach from NCB-MATHABHANGA is completed and the NQH-ROAD JN part of y-link is completed,DEMUs can be started in CHANGRABANDHA-COOCHBEHAR(via road jn,nmx),CHANGRABANDHA-SGUJ(already sanctioned).
