My few suggestions for the railway budget mailed to the site now posted here for all esteemed members for their comments for further improvements.

- Scrap Tatkal ticketing and offer these tickets on premium basis only through internet booking so that touts and all corrupt babus have no hand in these tickets.
- All tickets of Rajdhani, Durronto and rajdhani type trains...
more... should be sold only though internet. Last 10% of the ticket should be premium tickets. No tatkal.
- In line with the earlier Honbl'e Supreme Court orders all trains should be tagged with a average speed. All express trains should be covering their destination at an average speed of 55 Kms. Only then they should be charged with express fare. If they fail to complete, they should refund the fare and charge only passenger fare.
- Trains that cover end to end journey in 24 hours should not be made a two night journey train like Mahanagiri 1091/1092 and BSB-LTT express 12167/12168. These trains and many other like this leave mumbai at around 23.00 hrs and reach BSB on third morning at 4.00 and 5.00 AM. spending two nights on any train destroys all hygienic conditions in the train and fouls all toilets. Hence only one night train should be allowed. These trains leave from BSB at 10.00 and 11.00 AM and reaches mumbai the next day by 12.00 and 13.00 hours covering distance in 25 hours.
- Trains like Begampura BSB-Jammu Tawi with speeding up of two hours can save one extra rake. There are many such foolish decisions which can be taken by DRM levels and informed to Railway Board for corrections.
These suggestions should be incorporated in the budget now so that the voters feel the good days.
