The construction of the long-awaited Deoband-Roorkee railway line is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. including the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past five months, construction has made significant progress, with 17 km of track laid in Uttar Pradesh and 10 km in Uttarakhand. This line will pass through 14 villages in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, requiring the acquisition of 86.26 hectares of land. In Uttarakhand, 51 hectares of land from 11 villages in Haridwar district has been acquired. The new railway line will shorten the distance between Delhi and Roorkee by 33 km. Currently, trains travel via Tapri, but the new line will provide a direct route from Deoband to Roorkee, reducing congestion on the main railway line. The new line will also reduce travel time between Delhi and Dehradun.

Deoband-Roorkee railway line ka construction ab zor-shor se chal raha hai aur yeh saal ke end tak complete hone ki ummeed hai. Yeh 27.45 km ki line Delhi se Haridwar tak ka travel time ek ghanta kam kar dega. Project 18 saal pehle announce kiya gaya tha, lekin COVID-19...

Yeh line UP ke Saharanpur district ke 14 villages se guzaregi, aur 86.26 hectares land acquire kiya gaya hai. Uttarakhand mein, Haridwar district ke 11 villages se 51 hectares land acquire kiya gaya hai. New railway line se Delhi aur Roorkee ke beech ki distance 33 km kam ho jayegi.
