From a country almost at par with India in most of the development parameters, China has transformed itself into 2nd largest economy of the world through technological developments. It constructed Largest Dams, Largest Bridges, Most Modern Cities, Largest High speed rail network network, Tibet Rail project, High tech Missiles/ planes/ ammunitions, Great Financial Progress, - all at unprecedented scale in a span of about 2 decade. Of late what India has started with "Make in India Campaign", China has already achieved more than a decade back, that too on a much bigger scale.
Beauty of China is that when it comes to transacting business and attracting capital, it is much more capitalist/ open economy than India, and when it comes to

serve national interest, it is hardcore Communist country. On the other hand India had been saddled with the kind of Democracy since decades, where governments were busy in politics of appeasement and building vote bank for the ruling party in order to increase the chances of winning next election, with a hope to beat anti-incumbency factor (punishment by voters for the (mis) governance??). Emphasis used to be on electoral prospects and national interests were relegated to back burner.
Coaches of a train were burnt by Chinese youth during the historic agitation at Tianmen Square in 1985 in support of Democracy in China. Many youths found responsible for the act were served death sentence. Where as in India , public freely inflict great loss to nation without any fear by burning buses, dumpers, houses, railway coaches, by blocking roads, by stopping trains etc. during agitations, which again are usually for their vested interests rather than national interest.
We can learn lot from the success of China.

Dear Friend , We may not learn but China does learn from other countries.
They Learnt Bullet train technology from their Arch Rival Japan and in within 20 years built about 10000 route kms of bullet train tracks in their country which is more than half of the total length of High speed tracks in the world. The have done same with USA and other developed countries with respect to other technologies. They learnt from others and developed if further. They are masters of reverse engineering and the result is before us.

speaking- Bhai Cricket mein, reverse swing bowling par to achche achche aur well settled batsman bhi out ho jate hain. Ye to phir reverse engineering hai. America, European countries, Japan, Canada, Australia sab ek ek karke out hote jaa rahe hain.
Aise lagta hai China ka mantra hai "Development ke liye Kuchch bhi Karega". Hum log "love ke liye kuchch bhi karega" dekte rahe, aur whey log (Chinese) development ke liye kuchch bhi karte chale gye.
Lesson for us : In order to make progress, We must learn the things on their merit irrespective of who says it or who demonstrates it.
