Some good things about the initiative:
(1) Nice marketing initiative for the ultra luxury train which operates only during tourist season and lie unused during about half of the year. A better utilisation of costly rake could be done.
(2) It is a nice opportunity fro Indians to enjoy royal train journey. Discounted price (30000 Rs per person all inclusive) shall make it well within the reach of rich Indians.

more... No hotel booking is required, so it would be nice opportunity for tourists in case rooms of popular hotels get booked in advance.
(4) This price may attract foreign tourists coming from countries with hot/moderate climate.
(5) Costing of the tour operator may come down as it can hire employees round the year. A new segment called semi-Luxury rail travel could be created over a time, much to the benefit of tourism industry as well as public, if such tours are regularly operated.
