I had traveled in sleeper in extreme warm afternoon in Marudhar.
Just for experience I travelled in Mandor in sleeper overnight in chilling winter.
My experience of travel in sleeper -
I had wore hot inner, shirt, sweater , jacket with handgloves and muffler.
I...
more... had warm blanket to cover myself.
I don't like wearing cap as it gives pain in hair if wore for long time.
As my coach was Lhb still some windows were not locked properly, there was cold air coming.
I was on middle berth so there was no direct air but coach was very cold.
I listened songs till 11pm and then went to sleep. But it was very disturbing sleep because of heavy cold. I thought of drinking warm tea in between but later rejected the idea as it would make me lose sleep.
I woke up at 5am. Then again started listening song. Had tea at 6am. It gave some relief.
It was unpleasant experience. I think extreme warm is better than extreme cold because in extreme Warm weather we can drink cold water to keep body temperature low but in extreme cold there is nothing much one can do.
I can say that IR must redesign windows because they are not lock properly and slit gives cold air. Also train outer shell gets extremely cold.
