They presented fake appointment letters from Bengal Police and the Railways, leading to Ashish's suspicion. A police officer posing as a candidate met Anil and Amit at the Golf Ground, leading to their arrest. The gang, operating since the pandemic, is estimated to have defrauded over ₹60 lakhs from 50 individuals. An investigation is underway to uncover the gang's further activities and apprehend other members.
