MDU division might not be willing to spare cleaning crew just for one train. Please understand one thing. We can have our own opinions and keep ranting about it in these forums. Ultimately railways have their own parameters of deploying staff, looking at utilisation etc. Had Palani had many trains originating and terminating, maybe it would have been easier to have dedicated crew from mechanical division. But as I can see it is more of a passing station. Probably that could have been the reason for MDU division not wanting it to terminate there. I never mentioned it is a SA division train. All I said that SA division wants to decongest CBE station and probably free up a stabling line.
