Several special trains will be operated through Dhanbad. The Kochuveli-Barauni-Kochuveli Summer Special will run every Saturday from May 4th to June 29th, departing Kochuveli at 8:00 AM and arriving in Dhanbad at 7:05 AM on Monday and Barauni at 2:30 PM. 7th to July 2nd, departing Barauni at 11:30 PM and arriving in Dhanbad at 6:00 AM on Wednesday and Kochuveli at 1:30 PM on Friday. The Howrah-Gandhidham Special will depart Howrah at 8:00 PM on May 3rd and arrive in Dhanbad at 1:00 AM and Gandhidham at 11:00 PM on May 5th. The Gandhidham-Howrah Special will depart Gandhidham at 11:00 PM on May 3rd and arrive in Dhanbad at 9:30 PM on May 2nd and Howrah at 4:00 AM. The Mangaluru Central-Barauni-Mangaluru Summer Special will run every Sunday from May 5th to June 30th, departing Mangaluru Central at 2:15 PM and arriving in Barauni at 10:30 PM on Tuesday. The Barauni-Mangaluru Central Summer Special will run every Wednesday from May 8th to July 3rd, departing Barauni at 11:45 PM and arriving in Dhanbad at 5:50 AM and Mangaluru at 12:30 PM on Saturday.
