5,300 general coaches. In 2024-25, the railway will build 2,605 general coaches (including Amrit Bharat general coaches), 1,470 non-AC sleepers (including Amrit Bharat sleeper coaches), 323 SLR coaches (including Amrit Bharat SLR coaches), 32 high-capacity parcel vans, and 55 pantry cars. For 2025-26, the plan is to build 2,710 general coaches (including Amrit Bharat general coaches), 1,910 sleeper coaches (including Amrit Bharat train coaches), 514 SLR coaches, 200 high-capacity parcel vans, and 110 pantry cars. This initiative aims to ease travel for passengers by providing additional seating and berths, especially during peak seasons when waiting lists are longer.

Isse passengers ki travel aasan ho jayegi, kyunki extra seating aur berths milenge, khaas kar peak season mein jab waiting lists lambi hoti hain.
