A potential major train accident was averted in Uttarakhand when loco pilots of the Dehradun-Tanakpur Weekly Express spotted a 15-meter-long high-tension wire lying on the railway track near Khatima station on October 15th. This incident follows a similar near-accident in September involving the Kalindi Express, which hit an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The train driver spotted the cylinder and applied brakes but was unable to stop completely before hitting it. An investigation into that incident was also launched.

par chal padi. Is matter ki investigation chal rahi hai aur unidentified logon ke against case file kiya gaya hai. September mein Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh mein Kalindi Express ke saath aisi hi ek incident hui thi, jisme train track pe rakha LPG cylinder se takraya tha. Train driver ne cylinder ko dekha aur brakes laga diye, lekin woh complete stop karne se pehle cylinder se takra gaya. Us incident ki bhi investigation shuru ki gayi thi.
