Hubballi murder accused stabs woman, jumps off train, near D’gere, caught

Girish Sawant, accused in the Hubballi Anjali Ambiger murder case, was apprehended by the Government Railway Police (GRP) near Mayakonda in Davanagere district on Thursday night. an altercation with other passengers. Later, he attempted to rob a female passenger, Lakshmi, by demanding her gold chain, and stabbed her when she resisted. Other passengers intervened, leading to Girish jumping off the moving train. The GRP found him injured and arrested him. He was then handed over to the Hubballi police and admitted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi. Lakshmi was admitted to Chigateri district hospital, and later transferred to SSIMS Hospital for surgery. She is recovering well.

woh dusre passengers se jhagda kar raha tha. Baad mein, usne Lakshmi, ek female passenger, se uski gold chain maang kar lootne ki koshish ki aur jab usne saamne kiya toh usne usko churi maari. Dusre passengers ne beech bach av, Girish chalti train se kood gaya. GRP ne usko zakhmi halat mein pakda aur usko Hubballi police ke havale kar diya. Usko Hubballi mein KIMS Hospital mein admit kiya gaya. Lakshmi ko Chigateri district hospital mein admit kiya gaya, aur baad mein usko surgery ke liye SSIMS Hospital mein transfer kiya gaya. Woh ab thik ho rahi hai.
