The Indian Railways has announced three new pairs of Holi Special trains, including two that will pass through Muzaffarpur. The Sarhind-Jaynagar-Sarhind Festival Special will run via Gorakhpur-Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Samastipur-Darbhanga. PM. The return journey, Train number 04533, will depart from Jaynagar at 11:30 PM on March 23rd, stopping at Hajipur at 4:55 PM and reaching Sarhind at 5:15 AM on March 24th. The Chandigarh-Katihar-Chandigarh Festival Special will run via Gorakhpur-Hajipur-Barauni. Train number 04538 will depart from Chandigarh at 7:15 PM on March 23rd, reaching Katihar at 11:45 PM after stopping at Hajipur at 5:35 PM. The return journey, Train number 04537, will depart from Katihar at 4:00 AM on March 25th, reaching Chandigarh at 9:40 AM after stopping at Hajipur at 10:03 AM. The Katihar-Ambala Cantt Festival Special will run via Barauni-Hajipur-Gorakhpur. Train number 04539 will depart from Katihar at 4:00 AM on March 23rd, reaching Ambala Cantt at 9:00 AM after stopping at Hajipur at 10:03 AM. With these additions, the total number of Holi Special trains running this year will be 72.
