The protest also pointed out the lack of urgency shown by the administration, particularly regarding the Nagar-Pune demo train, which has been demanded by residents for 30 years to alleviate traffic congestion on the 105-km route. The protest accused the administration of neglecting the needs of the people, including the development of a 'Vande Kisan' freight train service that would benefit farmers by connecting Maharashtra regions. The protestors warned of more drastic measures if their demands were not met, including placing a symbolic statue of the Railway Minister in front of a moving train.
