Mumbai trains: WR in crackdown mode on ticketless travel, steep fines introduced

While the administration sees this as a way to ensure better performance, it has upset TCs who feel the targets are unreasonable and will lead to increased pressure. The move comes at a time when ticketless travel penalties have decreased due to the railway's decision to not allow waitlisted ticket holders to travel in long-distance trains.

aur Chhath ke season mein performance ko maximum karne ka target hai. TCs ki performance individual basis pe evaluate ki jaayegi, aur high achievers ko reward milega, aur jo target nahin achieve karenge unpe penalty lagegi. Administration ko lagta hai ki isse performance improve hogi, lekin TCs upset hai, unko lagta hai ki target unreasonable hai aur isse unpe pressure badhega. Ye action aise waqt pe aaya hai jab ticketless travel penalties kam ho gaye hain, kyunki railway ne waitlisted ticket holders ko long-distance trains mein travel karne se mana kar diya hai.
