Fadnavis highlighted the importance of the Metro project, stating that approximately 3.5 lakh people used the Metro during the recent Ganeshotsav festival. He believes the expanded Metro network will improve Pune's infrastructure and establish it as a leading urban hub. Additionally, Fadnavis expressed gratitude to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for supporting various infrastructure initiatives, including the four-lane Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palki Marg. Finally, Fadnavis mentioned a proposal to name Pune's airport after Sant Tukaram Maharaj, which will be sent to the central government for approval.
