Railways unable to increase number of train coaches owing to short platforms

The short railway platforms in Kerala are hindering the addition of coaches in trains, particularly those with LHB (Link Hoffman Bush) coaches. This is a problem for popular trains like Netravati Express and Mangala Express, which are now using LHB coaches. LHB coaches are longer than traditional ICF coaches, requiring...

longer platforms to accommodate them. Currently, most Kerala platforms are only long enough for 24 ICF coaches, while LHB trains with 24 coaches need platforms exceeding 600 meters. This means that trains like Netravati Express and Mangala Express, even though they are running with LHB coaches, are unable to accommodate the full 24 coaches, leading to two coaches being left outside the platform. The situation is further complicated by the non-production of new coaches at the Integral Coach Factory. This shortage makes it difficult to add more coaches to trains, even for those with traditional ICF coaches. The article highlights the need for longer platforms and increased coach production to accommodate the growing passenger demand and the transition to LHB coaches.

Kerala mein chhote railway platforms ki wajah se trains mein coaches add karne mein dikkat aa rahi hai, khaas karke LHB (Link Hoffman Bush) coaches wale trains mein. Ye Netravati Express aur Mangala Express jaise trains ke liye problem hai, jo ab LHB coaches use kar rahe hain. LHB coaches, purane...

ICF coaches se lamba hote hain, toh unko adjust karne ke liye lamba platforms chahiye. Abhi, zyadatar Kerala ke platforms sirf 24 ICF coaches ke liye hi lamba hain, lekin 24 coaches wale LHB trains ko 600 meter se zyada lamba platform chahiye. Iska matlab hai ki Netravati Express aur Mangala Express jaise trains, LHB coaches use karne ke bawjood, 24 coaches adjust nahi kar pa rahe hain, aur is wajah se do coaches platform ke bahar rah jaate hain. Integral Coach Factory mein naye coaches ka production na hona bhi ek problem hai. Iski wajah se trains mein zyada coaches add karna mushkil ho raha hai, chahe woh purane ICF coaches wali trains hi kyun na hon. Article mein, passenger demand aur LHB coaches ki taraf shift hone ke saath, lambay platforms aur zyada coaches banne ki jarurat ko highlight kiya gaya hai.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
