SCR earns total revenue of over ₹20,000 crore, carries more than 26 crore passengers in FY 2023-24

In the financial year 2023-24, South Central Railway (SCR) achieved a record-breaking ₹5,731.8 crore in originating passenger earnings by transporting 262.62 million passengers, surpassing the previous year's figure of 255.59 million. This success was attributed to initiatives like introducing new trains, adding extra coaches to meet demand, and focusing on customer-centric freight services. The freight sector also performed well, achieving a record ₹13,620 crore in revenue, a 4.4% increase from the previous year. This was due to enhancing freight services, diversifying traffic streams, and establishing new cargo terminals and sidings. SCR also achieved a record-high originating loading of 141.12 million tonnes. The General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, praised his team's efforts and encouraged them to maintain their performance for continued success and improved rail services for passengers.

Yeh success new trains introduce karne, demand ko meet karne ke liye extra coaches add karne, aur customer-centric freight services par focus karne jaise initiatives ke wajah se possible hua hai. Freight sector ne bhi achcha performance dikhaaya hai, aur record ₹13,620 crore ka revenue achieve kiya hai, jo ki last year se 4.4% zyada hai. Yeh freight services enhance karne, traffic streams diversify karne, aur new cargo terminals aur sidings establish karne ke wajah se possible hua hai. SCR ne record-high originating loading bhi achieve kiya hai, jo ki 141.12 million tonnes hai. General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain ne apni team ki efforts ki tareef ki hai aur unse current financial year mein bhi aisa hi performance dene ke liye kaha hai, taki aage bhi success ho aur rail passengers ke liye rail services better ho.
