Because of the large number of pics for some trains/stations/locos, showing all of them unnecessarily consumes bandwidth. Hereafter, we shall be randomly showing 4 of all the available pics. At this time, only the 4 latest are being shown. Soon, we shall be randomizing this.

Some enhancements have been made to SuperSearch within the Forum, PNR & News tabs:

1. Previously, within the PNR Forum, phrase/word searches were not picking up results from PNR replies. Also, the various PNR Status searches were not working. Now all of the above have been fixed. Any word/phrase searches should produce useful results.

HashTag search has been introduced in the PNR Forum.

3. Within the various tabs, highlighting of search terms was not consistent. This bug has been fixed.

4. Searching of Hindi/other language phrases has been introduced. (Previously, only English words could be searched). This will work in ALL tabs - Forum, PNR & News. (see pic).
.
5. Within each PNR, Forum or News blog, whenever you highlight any Text (any Language), a small "Quick Super Search" button will appear at the top of that Blog, Reply or News Entry, allowing you to quickly Super Search on that word. (see pic). This may be helpful when you are searching for non-English texts. You just need to highlight the Text, and then click on the "Quick Super Search" button.

Further enhancements are upcoming. If any of the SuperSearches are not fetching the desired/useful results, please be very specific in letting us know:
a. What you searched for - the parameters.
b. What was expected.
c. What were the actual results.
d. The search url will also be helpful.

1. The Opinion box will now show a detailed list of Members who provided the rating. When you click on Great, Thanks, Useful or Agree, a box will open up beneath displaying the names. When you hover over the respective member names, the tooltip will provide the corresponding member profile.

In order to preserve the past anonymous scheme, the above will be effective for all Opinions, going forward ONLY. Past opinions will remain anonymous.

3. A new option "No Opinion" has been provided to withdraw your Opinion.

4. As a consequence of the introduction of the features, it is NO LONGER necessary to provide one-word replies like Thanks, Nice, Agree and so forth. Such blog posts will henceforth be considered SPAM, and members indulging in this practice will get suspended/banned.

5. As a further elucidation, the "Great" opinion is a synonym for "Nice", "Superb", "Fantastic", "Mind-blowing", "I really like it", ... and so forth. Hereafter, only Blog Posts with material substance will be entertained.

At the top of the member profile, you will see a new link "Block Member" (see pic). If you block any member, they will NOT be able to reply within Blog Entries started by you, OR reply to your own replies within other Blog Entries OR send you private posts. This feature is aimed at preserving the freedom and independence of all bloggers, without the fear that they would be mocked at or ridiculed for their comments...

Thereafter, they won't be able to directly reply to you or post comments within Blog Entries started by you. Needless, to say, this blocking is reversible. You are able to both block and unblock.

Example 1. If you feel that when you start new Blog Entries or post pictures/videos, one or more members insert controversial comments in between diverting the topic, then just block them. Thereafter, your Blog Entries and threads are safe from disruption.

Example 2. You are brand new user asking a genuine rail question. One member comes in completely derailing the thread, leaving the main question unanswered. Just block them. Thereafter, your thread may come back in line.

Please note that blocking is person to person ONLY. If you block a member for whatever reason, that is your OWN opinion only. It does not reflect on the member himself. The "blocked" member has complete freedom and privileges everywhere on the site. He will just stay away from YOUR POSTS, that's all!! This feature puts the onus on members themselves to carry themselves in a courteous way, so that they are not blocked by other members.
