Preferred routes have already been provided VB from NJP. I don't think any other route would be feasible. However I do agree there is a need of conventional cc train from JYG-DBG-sguj and Raxaul mfp sguj on same slot different days. VB Wont work in these sections.

Yes almost every district is connected in a dedicated manner to siliguri via buses, A train with 2a 3a sl composition will do good if introduced. VB won't be able to attract masses.

If you are asking about this VB confirmation news I still don't believe this news. Moreover people who will never take VB will also be happy if it gets introduced, it should be the railway's think tank to analyse the feasible routes for operation of specified class trains be it VB or normal mexp

"Railway revenue in 2022-23 was ₹1.2 lakh crore, and the track renewal expenses in that year were 13.5 per cent of the revenue. In FY24(RE), total railway revenue rose to ₹1.5 lakh crore, but spending on track renewal dipped to 11 per cent of revenue. As per last week’s Budget, the railway revenue is budgeted at Rs 1.8 lakh crore in FY25 (BE), and the track renewal spends are pegged at 9.7 per cent of this revenue."

Currently rapid metro runs within gurgaon and that is different from dmrc however stations like dronacharya sikandarpur mg road and millenium city center serves the part of gurgaon and these are dmrc stations not rapid metro stations.
