It's impossible to introduce Closed door in Mumbai local trains. At any given time,local trains halts for just 45-50 seconds and people have no other option but to stand at the doors due to huge rush. Not only will closed door local trains destroy timetable of the current local trains but it will also affect daily commuters.

DMRC / Metro trains operates with close doors, mumbai locals definitely run on tighter schedule...can opearate so only in non-peak hrs..

Till IR allots new local rakes for CR,automatic door trains cannot work in Mumbai. For introducing automatic door CR has to first reduce the rush in local train. Doors cannot be closed when over 400-450 passengers travel in a single coach when sitting capacity is of only 80 or 90

Not possible, First start more than adequate number of services then go for such experiments
Im sure trial during peak hour will fail miserably, During non peak hours it wont be of any use...
