Frustrated, the students took the car of a High Court Judge Sanjeev S Kalgaonkar, who was present on the platform, and rushed him to the hospital. However, he was declared dead upon arrival. This led to the police cordoning off the area, leading to an altercation with the students who were accused of car theft by the police. A case of robbery was filed against the students by the police despite their claim of helping in good faith. Meanwhile, the inaction of the Railway authorities, including the RPF and GRP, who had cars available but did not use them to transport the VC to the hospital, was criticized.

Isse upar, students platform pe khade High Court Judge Sanjeev S Kalgaonkar ke driver se car chheen li aur VC ko hospital le gaye, lekin tab tak unki jaan chali gayi thi. Isse police ne puri city mein naka bandi kar di aur students pe car lootne ka case file kar diya. Students ne apni taraf se bataya ki unhone sirf madad ki thi, lekin police ne in pe robbery ka case register kar diya. Is case mein, RPF aur GRP ki inaction bhi saamne aayi, jinki apni cars available thi lekin VC ko hospital le jane ke liye use nahi kiya gaya.
