Meanwhile, the South East Central Railway's Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakund Express (trains 20807 and 20808) is temporarily adding an AC-03 coach for enhanced passenger comfort and availability of confirmed seats. This additional coach will be available on train 20807 departing Visakhapatnam on December 29th and train 20808 departing Amritsar on December 31st. In a separate effort, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), South East Central Railway has conducted an operation named 'Narcos' against drug smugglers, resulting in the arrest of 119 individuals and seizure of narcotics worth over ₹1.56 crore. This operation, launched in June 2022, has stepped up vigilance on trains and identified black spots across the country, collaborating with the Narcotics Control Bureau and other law enforcement agencies to crack down on drug trafficking.
