Light rain and snowfall are expected in northwest and central India including Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between December 30 and January 2. Private weather agency Skymet predicts dense to very dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, parts of North Rajasthan, and several places in Bihar. Dense fog is expected in the Western Himalayas, parts of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Northeast India. Light rain is also predicted in Tamil Nadu, South Kerala, parts of Lakshadweep, southern islands of Andaman and Nicobar, and a few places in Northeast India over the next 24 hours. Cold day conditions are expected in parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh on December 30 and 31. The IMD advises drivers to drive slowly due to the fog.
