Ahmedabad, Howrah, and Patna. The Devghar district ranks first in terms of new train introductions in Bihar and Jharkhand during this period, followed by Patna, Ranchi, Muzaffarpur, and Madhubani. Notably, the Godda station, inaugurated in 2020, has seen the introduction of 11 new trains in just three years, connecting it to major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi. Further expansion of train services is planned from Godda to Ayodhya (via Lucknow) and Mumbai. Prior to 2016, the region lacked adequate transportation facilities, but the Indian Railways has focused on improving connectivity in the area by introducing new lines and trains. This has benefited students, patients, laborers, and working professionals in the Santhal Pargana region.
