The Moradabad division narrowly avoided a similar accident in 2023 at Hapur station, where a Rajdhani Express was mistakenly moved onto the same track as another train. Due to low speeds, the driver managed to brake in time, preventing a collision. The station master at Pilkhuwa was suspended due to this incident. However, trains in the division are still running without the Kavach system.

Moradabad division ne 2023 mein Hapur station pe aisa hi accident hone se bacha tha, jab Rajdhani Express ko galti se same track pe chala diya gaya tha jahaan pe pehle se ek train thi. Train ki speed kam hone ki wajah se driver time pe brake laga paye aur accident bach gaya. Pilkhuwa ke station master ko suspend kiya gaya tha. Lekin, division mein abhi bhi train Kavach system bina chal rahi hain.
