उमरिया स्टेशन के करीब दो हिस्सो में बटी मालगाड़ी, रेलवे फाटक के पास 45 मिनट लगा रहा जाम

On Saturday night, around 8 pm, a long-haul freight train carrying goods from Umaria to Katni split into two parts near Singal Tola gate, about 1.5 km from Umaria railway station on the Bilaspur-Katni railway line. This caused a 45-minute traffic jam at the gate. Sources suggest the incident was caused...

by overloading of the train's wagons. The front part of the train continued moving while the rear part slid backward towards the gate. Although a major accident was possible, it was averted. Railway officials, while not confirming the incident, informed that technical staff from the station arrived on the scene and reconnected the two sections of the train, allowing it to proceed. The Singal Tola railway gate witnessed long queues of vehicles on both sides, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. The long-haul train comprises two freight trains coupled together by three locomotives, capable of carrying approximately 120 wagons of goods. This method, introduced a few years ago, is still considered experimental and has caused several similar incidents between Umaria and Katni, often leading to train delays. The reason for this is the lack of adequate space at every railway station to accommodate the length of a long-haul train. Consequently, such trains can only stop at stations with tracks long enough to accommodate two freight trains.

Saturday ke raat, kareeb 8 baje, Bilaspur-Katni railway line pe, Umaria station se kareeb 1.5 kilometer door Singal Tola gate pe, Umaria se Katni jaane wali long haul maalgaadi do hisson mein bat gayi. Isse gate pe kareeb 45 minute ka jam lag gaya. Sources ke mutabik yeh situation wagon mein...

overload hone ki wajah se aayi. Long haul hone ki wajah se, maalgaadi ka aada hissa aage nikal gaya aur aada hissa gate pe peeche ki taraf sarkne laga. Isse bada haadsa ho sakta tha, lekin aisa kuchh nahin hua. Railway officials ne incident confirm nahin kiya, lekin unhone bataya ki station se technical staff mauke pe pahunche aur unhone long haul ko phir se jodkar aage ki taraf rawana kar diya. Is dauraan Singal Tola railway gate pe dono hi taraf vehicles ki lambi qatar lag gayi thi. Logon ko is dauraan kaafi pareshani ka samna karna pada. Long haul do maalgaadiyon ko teen engines ke saath jodkar taiyaar kiya jata hai, jismein ek hi baar mein kareeb 120 dibbion ki maalgaadi zyada maal lekar nikal sakti hai. Yeh method kuchh saal pehle hi shuru kiya gaya tha aur ise abhi bhi prayog ke toor par chalaya ja raha hai. Long haul ki wajah se pehle bhi Umaria aur Katni ke beech isi tarah ki kai ghatnaen ho chuki hain. Isse aksar train bhi late ho jati hain. Iski wajah yeh hai ki sabhi railway stations mein long haul ko khada karne ki vyavastha nahin hai, parinaam swarup ek baar jab long haul maalgaadi chalna shuru karti hai to use sirf un stations pe hi roka jata hai jahan railway track ki lambai do maal gadiyon ko ek saath khada karne layak ho.
