The CBI has registered cases against officials of the Kota and Ajmer railway divisions and the owner of Vinayak Logistics India Private Limited, a Guwahati-based transportation company, for alleged fraud, forgery, and criminal misconduct. The CBI investigation revealed that the company transported marble powder instead of alum from Mandलगढ़ and Bharatpur to various destinations including Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, and Assam. The company also transported dolomite marble instead of putty from Nathद्वारा, falsely declaring it as putty, resulting in a loss of 23.07 lakh to the railways. The CBI has arrested one senior official, Ajay Pal, while another senior official, Pankaj Sharma, was transferred to the West Central Railway as Chief Vigilance Officer and conducted an investigation into his own role. The CBI investigation is ongoing and no further details can be shared.
