Four more shorter girders will be installed in the coming days. KPIL secured the Rs. 5.14 billion KNPCC-07 civil contract in June 2022, which includes the construction of five elevated stations: Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Baudh Nagar, and Naubasta. The 32.385 km Kanpur Metro Phase 1 was approved by the Central Government in February 2019 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 8, 2019. The priority section, covering 8.7 kilometers between Moti Jheel and IIT Kanpur, is currently operational. The remaining section of Phase 1 is expected to be completed by December 2024.

June 2022 mein, KPIL ko Rs. 5.14 billion ka KNPCC-07 civil contract mila tha, jismein panch elevated stations banaye jaayenge: Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Baudh Nagar, aur Naubasta. February 2019 mein, Central Government ne 32.385 km Kanpur Metro Phase 1 ko approval diya tha, aur March 8, 2019 ko, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ne project ka cornerstone rakha tha. Moti Jheel aur IIT Kanpur ke beech 8.7 kilometer long priority section abhi operational hai. Phase 1 ka remaining section December 2024 tak complete hone ki ummeed hai.
