The renovation work at Payyannur railway station is causing inconvenience to the locals. Theru, Kandankali, Mahadeva Gramam, and Subrahmanyaswami temple, was done to construct a parking area as part of the renovation. The station renovation also includes the construction of a concrete platform with tiles, causing inconvenience to passengers. The lack of a roof on the second platform, which is used for trains going south, has resulted in the platform turning into a mud pit during the recent heavy rains in Orkapuram. The water stagnation due to the renovation is also creating health hazards with the breeding of mosquitoes.

Renovation mein concrete platform aur tiles bhi lagaye ja rahe hain, yeh bhi passengers ke liye pareshani ka baat hai. Dusra platform, jiska use south jaane wali trains ke liye hota hai, pe roof nahin hai, aur is wajah se Orkapuram mein heavy rains ke baad woh mud pit mein badal gaya. Renovation ki wajah se water stagnation bhi ho raha hai, jiske wajah se mosquitoes breed kar rahe hain, aur isse health hazards bhi ho rahe hain.
