more... while accepting bribes of ₹9,000 and ₹8,200 respectively from the proprietor of Messers Vishal Traders Nadarganj, Lucknow, Akash Yadav, who had filed a complaint with the CBI on June 13th. The CBI conducted searches at the residences of both accused and found some incriminating documents. The complaint alleged that Rai demanded ₹1000 per truck, ₹150 per ton, and ₹300 for duty staff while Kumar demanded ₹800 per truck and ₹100 per ton for allowing the removal of 50 metric tonnes of scrap purchased by Yadav and his cousin, Vikas Yadav. Yadav reported being harassed due to his inability to meet these demands. Further, he revealed that he was being pressured to pay for both past and present deliveries for a 28 ton lot scheduled for delivery between June 12th and 13th. Separately, the CBI arrested Vinod Kumar, a postal assistant stationed at Nanpara, Bahraich, on Thursday for accepting a ₹20,000 bribe. He had demanded ₹2 lakhs to resolve a departmental case against the complainant, claiming influence with unknown senior officers. He agreed to accept ₹20,000 as partial payment.

Complaint mein kaha gaya hai ki Rai ne 50 metric ton scrap ke removal ke liye ₹1000 per truck, ₹150 per ton, aur ₹300 duty staff ke liye maang kiya tha. Aviral Kumar ne ₹800 per truck aur ₹100 per ton ki maang ki thi. Yadav ne complaint mein bataaya ki 12 se 13 June ke beech uski 28 ton ki lot ki delivery honi hai aur dono usko paise mang rahe hain. CBI ne Thursday ko Nanpara Bahraich mein post office mein kaam karne wale Vinod Kumar ko ₹20,000 ki bribe lete hue pakda tha. Usne complainant ke against departmental case resolve karne ke liye ₹2 lakh ki bribe mangi thi aur ₹20,000 partial payment ke liye maan liya tha.
