The project also includes the construction of a new bridge alongside the existing Sri Krishna Setu bridge over the Ganga river in Munger. This bridge has been a long-awaited project, with its feasibility being explored during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. The final location survey and DPR for the project have been completed, and the construction work is expected to begin soon. The doubling of this rail line, which was approved two years ago, will increase train traffic and improve passenger convenience, benefiting people in Jamui and Banka districts as well.

Munger mein Ganga river pe ek bridge ban sakta hai. Abhi Munger district mein Ganga river pe bane Sri Krishna Setu pe single rail line guzarti hai. Jamalpur se Munger ke beech double karne se ab is bridge ke paas ek dusra bridge banne ki bhi aas lagi hai. Atal Bihari Vajpayee ke shaasankaal mein Munger ke railway bridge ko green signal mila tha aur tab se hi iske double karne ki maang bhi uthti rahi hai. Par ab DPR ready ho jaane ke baad logo mein iski umeed jagi hai. Munger mein railway line ke double karne ko lekar final location survey kar liya gaya hai aur DPR ready kar liya gaya hai. Ab jaldi hi double line ke nirman kaam ko anjaam de diya jaayega. Jamalpur Munger rail line ke double karne ke kaam ke liye survey ka kaam 2 March 2022 se hi shuru kiya gaya tha. Iske tahat drone aur photo grammetry technology ka use karke aerial survey kiya gaya tha. Ab jaake iska DPR banaya gaya hai. Jamalpur Munger railkhand ke double hone se is rail khand pe trains ki aawazahi badhegi aur yaatriyon ko various types ki suvidha milegi. Jamalpur ke Y lane ke double karne ka kaam samapn hone se Bhagalpur se Munger hote hue Khagaria aur Begusarai jaane wali train ki sankhya mein bhi izafa hoga aur iska fayda Jamui aur Banka ke logo ko bhi milega. Ab logo mein is railkhand ke double karne ki umeed kaafi tej ho gayi hai.

Work has not started yet. It is a very sad that it will take another 10 yrs to start and another 20 yrs to complete. This is all about Indian Railway work culture. Need Privatization in Indian Railway for quality service.
