The government has formed a special committee comprising officials from the Forest Department and the Railway Authority. This committee has held two to three meetings. Following this, the High Court ordered the Forest Department and the Railway Authority to submit a joint report on the matter within two weeks. The Forest Department and the Railway Department informed the bench that 58 trackers are working to track lions and on April 20, a lion was found sitting on the railway line, due to which the train was stopped as a precaution. The High Court sarcastically remarked that they should be awarded the Padma Shri for this work. The news organizations report on the accidents, but why don't the officers take steps to prevent them?
