Three to six piles are then combined to create a pile cap, which forms the foundation for the elevated metro corridor's pillars. This section will include 5 elevated stations: CSA, Vijay Nagar Crossing, Shastri Chauk, Barra-7, and Barra-8, and 3 underground stations: Rawatpur, Kakadev, and Double Pullia. The construction of the 4.1 km underground section has already begun. The 24 km long Corridor-1 currently operates a 9 km section from IIT to Motijheel. Work is also underway on the remaining sections: Chunni Ganj to Nayaganj and Kanpur Central to Transport Nagar underground, and the 5 km Barradevi to Naubasta elevated section.
