The signal failures caused delays of over two hours for major trains like Padmavat Express, Janta Express, Lucknow Mail, Shramjeevi, Rajyarani, and others on the Moradabad-Lucknow route. The North Railway headquarters was alerted about the train delays. Monsoon rains have been affecting train operations. Heavy rainfall led to flooding near the railway track in Bilpur, after Pillibhit, in the Moradabad Rail Division. The floodwater quickly rose, causing the railway signal system to fail, halting train services between Bareilly and Shahjahanpur. Trains arriving from Lucknow, including the Padmavat Express, were affected. Several other trains, including Shramjeevi, Lucknow Mail, Rajyarani, Prayagraj-Yoganagri, Avadh Assam, Kumbh, Rajyarani, Doon, Sadbhavana, Ayodhya Express, and Janta Express (on the down line), were also stalled. Senior DCM Aditya Gupta stated that the train operations were affected due to flooding on the railway track near Bilpur between Bareilly and Shahjahanpur. Train services resumed after the signal systems were restored on both up and down lines. However, flooding persisted on the loop line during the day. Lagatar baarish ki wajah se Pillibhit ke baad Moradabad Rail Division me Bilpur me railway track paani me dub gaya. Paani bahut jaldi badh gaya, jisse railway signal system fail ho gaya aur Bareilly aur Shahjahanpur ke beech rail yaataayaat band ho gaya. Lucknow se aane wali Padmavat Express sahit kai trains ka chalana band ho gaya. Shramjeevi, Lucknow Mail, Rajyarani, Prayagraj-Yoganagri, Avadh Assam, Kumbh, Rajyarani, Doon, Sadbhavana, Ayodhya Express, aur down line par Janta Express sahit kai trains bhi ruk gayi.
