Wild Elephant Hit by Speeding Train Dies in Assam

An adult male elephant was killed in Assam's Morigaon district on Wednesday when it was hit by the Silchar-bound Kanchanjunga Express near Tegheria, close to Jagiroad Railway Station. Forest officials and veterinarians have arrived at the scene to conduct a post-mortem. Assam has the second-highest elephant population in India after Karnataka.

Railway staff aur locals ne hathhi ke dead body ko track se time pe hata diya, jisse train services mein koi disruption nahin aaya.
