Despite their protests, no assurance was received from the railway officials. On Wednesday, over 250 apprentices continued their protest, demanding compensation and a job for the deceased's family. The railway administration deployed security personnel to control the situation and prevent any damage. After a long standoff, the railway officials agreed to provide compensation based on the postmortem report. This assurance finally calmed the situation. The apprentices were demanding the presence of the DRM, but he did not arrive. Apprentices from various locations across the South East Central Railway joined the protest in support. They all protested the lack of safety equipment provided to the apprentices during work. The Senior DCM, Anurag Kumar Singh, stated that compensation, likely exceeding INR 8 lakhs, will be provided according to the Apprentices Act after the postmortem report is available. The railway administration also provided assistance to the family for transporting the body back home.
