An inspection by the AGM revealed illegal occupation of numerous quarters in the Tatanagar Railway Traffic Colony. All illegal occupants have been ordered to vacate. Railway personnel are now surveying the quarters in Traffic Colony to remove illegal occupants. The electricity and water connections of two dozen quarters occupied illegally have been disconnected in the presence of RPF personnel. Residents of illegally occupied quarters have been served notices to vacate. The railway is preparing to demolish and take legal action against those who refuse to vacate. Similar campaigns have been conducted previously in Loco Colony and Carriage Colony.
