yeh delay ho raha hai. CMRL ko merger ke baad 67% stake milega, aur Southern Railway ko 33%. Is merger ka matlab hai ki CMRL ab MRTS ko operate karega, jiska har saal Rs 84 crore ka loss ho raha hai. State government is loss ko absorb karne ke liye razi ho gaya hai. Lekin, actual takeover tab hi hoga jab Railway Board proposal ko approve karega aur Chennai Beach aur Chennai Egmore ke beech ka fourth line complete ho jayega.
