To address this, the Black Diamond Express will also be shifted to a later departure time from Dhanbad, leaving at 7 PM instead of 4:20 PM. The new timings will affect all stations between Ranchi and Dhanbad, with the Intercity now arriving two hours earlier at each stop. The change will also ensure the Intercity arrives in Dhanbad before the 9:50 PM Maurya Express.
