The Irrigation Department reported that the accumulation of dirt and waste in the canal beneath the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station platform poses a serious flood risk to the city. and waste. Despite the report, the Railway Department ignored the warnings and has not taken any action to clean up the canal. The Corporation has sent notices to the Railway Department three times, but the issue has not been addressed. The Corporation also raised concerns about the connection of drains from the platform to the canal. The Railway Department claims that the delay in clearing the waste is due to the contractor, but the Corporation insists that the plastic waste has been accumulating for a long time.

kaha gaya hai ki thote me 1050 cubic meters mitti, gandegi aur malinya aise jama ho gaya hai. Report ke baad bhi Railway Department ne koi kadam nahi uthaya. Corporation ne Railway Department ko teen baar notice bheja tha lekin koi fayda nahi hua. Corporation ne railway ke platform se thote me jaane wale nalon ko leke bhi chinta vyakt ki hai. Railway Department ka kehna hai ki contractor ke wajah se malinya saaf karne me der ho rahi hai, lekin Corporation ka kehna hai ki yahaan plastic waste bahut time se jama hua hai.
