The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase will cover 306 km between Chennai and Bengaluru, reducing travel time to one hour. The second phase will cover 157 km between Bengaluru and Mysuru. The bullet train line will be 258 km long in Karnataka and 132 km long in Tamil Nadu, passing through 313 towns and villages.
