The latest addition is the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat service, launched on Wednesday. This service, operating thrice a week, departs from Ernakulam on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday and from Bengaluru on Thursday, Saturday, and Monday. The train leaves Ernakulam at 12:50 PM, arriving at Bengaluru Cantonment at 10:00 PM. The return journey starts from Bengaluru Cantonment at 5:30 AM the next day, reaching Ernakulam at 2:20 PM. The route has ten stops. The service was introduced due to high demand on the Bengaluru-Ernakulam route. While some passengers expressed concern about the daytime schedule, South Railway assured the introduction of sleeper coaches will address these concerns.
