Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar thanked the Prime Minister for the service, highlighting its importance for Faridabad's development and connectivity. He also announced the upcoming Metro connection between Gurgaon and Faridabad. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has invited tenders for a topographical survey for the 11.165 km long Lucknow Metro Phase 1B project, connecting Charbagh Railway Station and Vasant Kunj with 12 stations. This East-West Corridor project, estimated at Rs. 5801.05 crore, involves 4.286 km of elevated and 6.879 km of underground sections. The tender, with an estimated cost of Rs 24.32 lakhs, is for a 3-month duration and includes a detailed survey of the corridor and alignment design. Future steps for Phase 1B include geotechnical work to support detailed design and construction planning.
