more... announced a significant increase in passenger and freight revenue. In the last four months, passenger traffic reached 88 million, generating ₹1,956 crore in revenue. Freight loading reached 46.25 million tonnes, generating ₹4,611 crore. Overall, SCR's revenue increased by 3% compared to the same period last year. SCR is also focusing on infrastructure augmentation, adding 415 km of track last year and 55 km of third line works this year. Electrification is almost complete, and the 'Amrit Bharat Station Scheme' is underway at 119 stations. To address increased passenger demand, 271 special trains and 3,866 coaches were added. In addition, 896 kWp rooftop solar plants were commissioned at seven stations. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has rescued 503 children and recovered stolen belongings worth ₹1 crore. They have also secured leftover belongings of passengers on 918 occasions, valued at ₹2 crore.
