in the medium term. The project will connect the southern part of the city, Outer Ring Road West, Magadi Road, and various neighborhoods along the two lines. Phase 3 will add 44.65 km to the existing rail network and is slated to be operational by 2029. The first corridor will run from JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura, covering 32.15 km with 21 stations, while the second corridor will run from Hosahalli to Kadabagere, covering 12.5 km with 9 stations. The project aims to connect western peripherals with the Outer Ring Road and key localities in the Secondary Business District. Upon completion, it will provide metro connectivity to the entire ORR, connecting southern and western Bengaluru to the Kempegowda International Airport. The project also plans multi-modal integration at 10 locations, with feeder buses and dedicated infrastructure for buses, pedestrians, and autos.
