This decision was made after Munger BJP MLA, Pranav Kumar, requested the ECR General Manager to extend the route of the Buddha Purnima Express to Saharsa. The new train schedule features 9 stops, including Kiul, Abhayapur, Jamalpur, and Munger, with a departure time of 6:10 AM from Rajgir and an arrival time of 1:00 PM in Khagaria. The return train, departing from Khagaria at 2:00 PM, will reach Rajgir at 8:20 PM.
