According to reports, the girl accused Prashant of inappropriately touching and holding her on Wednesday night when his mother was in the toilet. He was then beaten up by the girl's family and other passengers on the train until it reached Kanpur station. The GRP investigation revealed that Prashant had a general ticket but was traveling in the 3rd AC coach. The girl's family alleged that the TTE had seated him on seat number 11.
