This station, along with others, will be reconstructed to offer passengers enhanced amenities such as separate arrival and departure facilities, a roof plaza, air-conditioned concourse, parking, lifts, escalators, executive lounges, waiting rooms, shopping complexes, and cafeterias. The station will be designed to reflect the local culture and art, incorporating energy-efficient features like solar power and rainwater harvesting. The project is expected to cost around 210.63 crores and will include features accessible to the disabled, such as lifts and escalators, separate lobbies for arrivals and departures, and underground parking. The entire redevelopment is being designed with green building principles to minimize energy consumption.
