Vande Bharata Train: दुर्ग-विशाखापतनम वंदे भारत को नहीं मिल रहे यात्री, नुकसान से बचने रेलवे ले सकता है बड़ा फैसला

The Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express, launched on September 20th, is facing a significant passenger shortage, causing concern for the Indian Railways. Despite having 1128 seats, the train averages only 150-170 passengers daily. The primary reason for this is the high ticket price, which has dampened passenger enthusiasm. The Railways are...

monitoring passenger numbers through the Diwali festival, and if the low occupancy persists, they may consider reducing the number of coaches, similar to the Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express. The Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express's fare for a first-class AC seat is INR 2100, compared to INR 905 for a third-class AC seat on the Samata Express, which is heavily utilized, highlighting the impact of fare differences on passenger demand.

kam hai. Railway Diwali festival tak dekh rahi hai ki passengers badhenge ya nahi. Agar aise hi empty seats rahi to Bilaspur-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express ki tarah, isme coaches bhi kam kar diye jayenge. Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express ka first class AC seat ka fare INR 2100 hai, jabki Samata Express mein third class AC seat ka fare INR 905 hai. Samata Express completely packed hai, isse pata chal raha hai ki fare ka passengers ke travel par kitna impact hota hai.

लेकिन दक्षिण पूर्व मध्य रेलवे के रेलफैंस इस कड़वी सच्चाई को स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार ही नहीं हैं तो ऐसी मानसिकता का क्या ही किया जाए।

Bro, I think North Indian cities are more intricately connected to the northern cities and same with southern Indian cities( where people travel not only for jobs but also to their families and other purposes.)
This can also be seen as more direct no of flights From North to North and South to South rather than North to South (except metro cities where people from all parts of India resides in big no due to jobs and other opportunities). Thus,Population and size of cities has less role to play if not fully.
